STAPLE DESIGN x Kia Soul “Rain Camo”
by Eugene Kan, September 3, 2009

STAPLE DESIGN makes another foray into the automotive world, following their work for Lotus Elises and Grand Turismo the video game, featuring a special make-up of the Kia Soul. The more budget-minded car features a “Rain Camo” pattern inspired by the New York’s rainy days as well as Predator and the notion of camouflage itself. Furthermore, the car finds itself in the midst of a larger scale project involving music (Janelle Monae), design (STAPLE DESIGN), film (Jonas & Francois) and the entrepreneur spirit (Threadless.com). A US Tour will feature four days of free music with acts including MGMT, The Walkmen, Santigold, The Clipse, Against Me!, Major Lazer and Silversun Pickups, among others, in the cities listed below:
Tour Dates:
Chicago: September 10-13
Washington, DC: September 17-20
Philadelphia: September 24-27
Miami: October 1-4
Atlanta: October 8-11
