raekwon ghostface killah the badlands Raekwon feat Ghostface Killah The Badlands

Yesterday marked the highly anticipated release of Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II LP. Hip-hop heads may have grown restless, waiting all these years for some kind of awakening promised by this release. Hopefully this album does just that, and based on itunes numbers (top album right now), it’s apparent the people are clamoring to resurrect real hip-hop. The single below, entitled “The Badlands”, won’t be found on any U.S. copies, because it is a UK-only exclusive. It’s okay though because we got it here– check it out.

    THIS. IS. HIP HOP.

This album is the sword that chops the heads of all those who have been worshiping false idols. There’s no need to name names because hip hop heads know the “artists” responsible for the junk out there. These artists are responsible for CDs that end up adding to man-made disasters like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pacific_Garbage_Patch

Rae, Ghost, Jeru, Nas, Gangstar, Tribe, Redman, BIG… these albums are kept for life.
