I ride brakeless in the street but let’s face it, it’s not the safest or smartest choice (although fun). Locking your rear wheel is simply not an efficient way to stop and it takes quite a bit of skill and experience to ride a track bike well in the street. Plus it’s starting to become against the law in many places. A true track bike wouldn’t be drilled for brakes but this is a collaboration with a sneaker company. Not really something you’d see in Keirin races or the track…. Oh, and I love the bike and shoes. They are not ridiculous. They are age old sambas with a lace protector…

Okay Adidas, did you read my last post about the Samba Fixie shoes and how poorly marketed the designs were??? This is MUCH better, the new Samba design looks great, the zipper/ velcro closure is very ideal for clipped pedals. THUMBS UP, as long as these shoes are not ridiculously priced or crazy limited to Europe or boutiques only, these shoes will please many and be a great success in sales. PUT THESE ON YOUR ONLINE SHOP HERE IN THE U.S.! As for the bike, I highly doubt anyone will be able to afford this, Kalvinka frames are too dope, and cost $$$$; the limited edition make will make the price tag on this frame alone too much for most of us…
