The latest addition to the OriginalFake/KAWS collection of ultra-collectible toys comes a 4 Foot Dissected Gray Companion. Having seen a number of notable toy drops in the last few months from the MEDICOM TOY affiliated brand, this one marks yet another large-scale release. A suggested retail price of $6,000 USD with a run of only 100 pieces is set to take place in what we assume will be the very near future.

    Ok, i think OriginalFake/KAWS needs some new designs.

    Yes, this is a supposed tradition but c’mon…..we’ve seen the same version of this in almost if not every color and frankly, im tired.

    Fuck that price. $6G’s retail?? What a travesty and a slap in the face to kids that really want to collect. The top tier sneakers may run $300 to $1000, but kids can hustle and save to come up with the coin it takes to buy these. This is taking toy collecting out of the hands of the people that care about it (and I personally don’t) in order to make money. Fuck Kaws for this. Maybe Brad and Angelina can cop this for their bathroom. It would look great next to the Banksy.

    If I was even pulling in 60k/yr, I would have at least one of the 4ft Companions, and may even try and catch one while I’m still in school. There are plenty of folk buy these, and they aren’t crazy, they’re collectors. As for the Hirst comparison, these are scaled down(/desaturated) versions of the 3m Dissected in the Aoyama OF store, so, you’re at least 3 years late on being the first dude to say something, get off it.

    who buys these anyways? anyone logical will not spend that much money on a piece of plastic unless its made of pure silver or something along those lines.
