ALIFE 2009 Fall The Toxic & The Shepard Sneakers

Fall 2009 offers a good variety of new styles from ALIFE, including updated versions of their The Toxic and The Shepard chukka-style sneakers. While The Shepard is featured in toned down worn premium leather uppers, The Toxic is highlighted by the use of translucent blue-green midsoles amongst two suede color schemes. Both also feature ALIFE’s signature perforated stretch liner to retail a cool and fresh wearability element. All four versions are now available through Karmaloop.com.

Decisions, decisions, I’m too slow to make a logical selection, so I’ll let our distinguished panel choose…………….I guess while we’re at it, we can safely say Lee ripped off Levi’s , and Wrangler offed Levi’s and Lee; since, according to logic of those in this topic, small changes don’t matter. And all those Japanese denim brands are definitely biters.
A brand can be influenced by another, but to straight up copy their shit and stamp your own sole on it is not inspiration. The silhouette is the exact same, the heel tab stitching in the back is the exact same. That is more than just influence. That is plagiarism.

Acting like DBs are a one brand item is nutto. Glad the soles are toned down, but that black leather looks gross in that flick, especially paired with the white sole. I think the next Chuck drop will be something worth grabbing, given the progression.
