Unveiled during the 2009 Bonnaroo festival, the surprise performance of “Too Many Rappers” not only left fans captivated, but is definitely appreciated in this day and age of Hip Hop. While many have seen the performance on video, a now a semi-finished track has become available. If you haven’t heard, legendary Hip Hop trio, The Beastie Boys, recently team up with Nas for this new track entitled, “Too Many Rappers” It’s their first single off their highly anticipated 8th studio LP, “Hot Sauce Committee PT 1″ which is slated for release September 15, 2009. I’m feeling this new resurgence from veteran MC’s lately. Anyhow, check it out.

Sucks to hear that Adam Yauch found out he has cancer. I hope he pulls through it.

On a side note, the track is kind of wild. I dunno if it’s my cup of tea.

that beat is bonkers. shit is relentless and dirty.

THE BEAT IS GARBAGE?! BAD QUALITY?!

Y’all need to wrap your virgin ears some around good HIP HOP and get that cherry popped!

The hole point of the beat is to be low fi and dirty… Something the youngsters know nothing about. Beastie Boys fr those of you who don’t know, used to be a hardcore punk band before they were a hip hop group! All you kats that said wake beat, probably are the same kats who sweated Jay Z’s 99 problems… I will say this though, NAS holds this whole song together… The rest of them old men (Beastie Boys) need to give up Hip Hop and get a hobby, like Bachi Ball or Chess! Something that old people do… Leave the Rappin to the new gen of Hip Hoppers!

how the fuck do any of you guys know each other’s ages? stop talking shit when you dont have a clue. kids like what they like. to each their own. live and let live. and all that.

I agree, y’all need to bow down to real Hip Hop. These artists are a big part of the foundation. It’s funny how people love to bite the style of the 80’s, but don’t want to learn the culture & influences behind that style. Educate yourselves, for your own sake.

honestly, nas and beasties at their worst are better than 90% of the shit that comes out nowadays. not saying the 80s and 90s didnt have their share of their shiesty acts, just saying nas and beasties are legends.

you have to excuse the young kiddies they used to soft 808’s drums and small sounding synths, loud drums make their ears bleed and they cant understand someone unless their speech is slurred.

the young generation is whats wrong with music, sometimes I cant even stand DJing cause one of you wack little new jacks wanna hear some soulja boy or lil wayne…remember kids there was hip-hop before autotune and contrary to popular belief LIL WAYNE DID NOT INVENT THE MIXTAPE

    -thank you and goodnight
