Implementing his staple pigeon theme once again, jeffstaple works up a new project alongside legendary hat purveyors Kangol. The collaborative effort results in “The Pigeon Sunhat”, a 5-panel safari-inspired piece, fully equipped with a sweat-wicking headband, UV-A and UV-B sun protective Taslon outer fabric, and drop down panels. Retailing for $77 USD, the caps looks to go on sale tomorrow at Reed Space as well as select worldwide retailers, including: Commonwealth, St. Alfreds, Bodega, TRUE, Dover Street Market, Hip/Leeds, Hanon, Colette, SNS, Kangol Japan Omotesando, Juice, Sole What, Invincible, and Qubic.

OK, so we know that the Pigeon thing was on life support after the first New Era’s, the New Balances, and then of course those god-forsaken Converses, but this hat is at least a reasonable extension of the branding. My main concern: $77. That’s seriously wack.

Word to Nike, ditch the Swoosh, hacks. You kids are hilarious. This’d be nice for a day spent in the hills.

yeah, to match kangol’s kangaroo icon, staple should’ve tried using an aussie cockatoo or seagull just to be a little more creative / inventive / original / fresssssh
