Introducing the LIVESTRONG x Futura x Nike Dunk Hi.

Only one name holds the same revered stature in the sneaker game as Mister Cartoon and that would be East Coast brethren, Futura. A long-term collaborative partner, NY’s Futura has worked with Nike on numerous occasions providing design innovation at every step. For LIVESTRONG, he updated his most desired shoe, the FLOM (aka For Love Or Money). Originally released by Nike SB and limited to only 24 pairs, the FLOM was gifted to friends leaving collectors yearning all over the world.

When asked why he wanted to be involved in the collection, Futura says, “The opportunity to contribute to what Lance is doing with LIVESTRONG is the primary motivation. It also marks the return of the FOR LOVE or MONEY . . . the FLOM has been re-minted.”

The LIVESTRONG x Futura x Nike Dunk Hi releases on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 with a retail price of $150. 100% of the proceeds go towards the Lance Armstrong Foundation for Cancer research. See below for the exclusive retailers in the US.

the LIMITED FACTOR is very UNFORTUNATE in this release. I’d think that in order to COMBAT these/those RESELLERS they would MASS PRODUCE . . . and FIND A CURE.
    (1) almost anyone who simply wants/likes/needs the shoe; can have it.
    (2) those with disposable income could buy two; and keep one in RESERVE.
    (3) the FOUNDATION raises/gets mucho DINERO . . . and everyone is a WINNER.
    (4) NO CAMPING and or OPEN FIRES. you can cop at WALMART or TARGET.
    (5) you’d keep the eventual (it cannot be avoided) RESALE at somewhat of a MINUMUM. as numbers in the THOUSANDS; would keep shit in check.
    (6) I personally thank those who are in support of this project in THEORY. even if the APPLICATION in practice doesn’t meet with the GENERAL consensus.

@acro7 actually it’s the profit nike makes on the 80 dollar wholesale after paying for labor/materials/etc , the store still keeps their ~45% of the box price.

I’m a fan of Futura but these are just ugly. I rather be at the beach than standing on line for these kicks.

    Nice shoe, definite cop..
I just think it’s a little funny how it says 100% of the proceeds go to the foundation…Most people would think that it means all $150 goes to it, but just the profits, which isn’t that much after all the processing..
