how does hov go from doa to this? i understand he prolly released this song for pop appeal with rhianna on it. every female in the world will prolly be singing her part lol. hov verse was kinda wack and so was kanye’s. i guess bp3 wont be classic because of this.

Jay-Z could have done better on this song. The lyrics compared to his ability to create songs into stories are very poor imo. He’s just freestyling on this song and it’s inconsistent. Kanye killed it better then Jay-Z in two verses. I also expected better from Rihanna, vocally she could’ve made it better. I love the beat, it’s sick but everyone could’ve picked up the weight. To me it sounded like they rushed this instead of making this a ridiculous classic. =/ This is real talk.

    This song sucks

I was quite disappointed in this track. I expected much better from HOV. If Kanye wasn’t on the track it would have been awful for my standards that I hold for Jay. Ye resurrected this track at the end, but by that point I was sick and tired of hearing the Afflac duck quack in the background..

Is it bad that I just skipped to the Kanye verse? Rihanna’s voice is getting really old…

you people are online allday and can’t get your facts straight? NO I.D produced DOA yeezy tweaked it then put his name on it as well.. he isn’t dissing anyone in particular he is just saying from here on out no more auto tune and more black hoody rap!!!

  14. Posted by: oninesix on July 24, 2009 at 9:53 pm

kanye didnt produce DOA NO ID did the TRACK hence “NO ID ON THE TRACK LET THE STORY BEGIN!!!”

  15. Posted by: mr. e on July 24, 2009 at 9:34 pm

no i.d produced D.O.A, you lames. kanye unintentionally gave the “idea” to jay for the lyrics .

however, this track is just..aight. almost garbage.

  16. Posted by: G'Faye on July 24, 2009 at 9:33 pm

Jay-Z specifically said that DOA was not a jab at Kanye T-Pain or Lil Wayne but rather guys like Ron Browz and Tyga

  17. Posted by: Da Jacques on July 24, 2009 at 8:40 pm

stop already, Kanye produced DOA. Jay Z wasnt ripping on kanye, he was ripping on people who use autotune badly.

  18. Posted by: con on July 24, 2009 at 8:15 pm

smh @ dude talking about jay z ripped kanye on DOA just cuz he gettin at something the guy uses doesnt mean hes gettin at the guy .. i mean kanye is the ROC

  19. Posted by: LaCokaAnthony on July 24, 2009 at 6:08 pm

Rihanna really is the new Tina Turner.

  20. Posted by: stop already on July 24, 2009 at 5:29 pm

wait, jay z rips kanye with the DOA track, then gets him to feature on a track a month later? this is why i’ll never get rap/hip hop, whateverthefuckyouwannacallit, it’s culture, it’s people… giving me a migraine here.

Kanye owns this track! Even though I’m a bit tired of her, they should’ve had Bey sing the hook, cuz as much as I luv her style, Rhi is not cutting it vocally, sorry.

this shit is poppin, rihanna killed the hook
