Bobbito x Pro Keds El Barrio Preview
by Staff, July 1, 2009

Pro-Keds look towards famed New York good guy Bobbito Garcia for his streetwear and sneaker expertise on set of collaboration sneakers. The kicks entitled El Barrio take on the classic Pro-Keds look, combing a mid-top platform with buttery suede uppers and white contrast detailing. A variety of different colors will be making their way to store shelves next year.

Kevin,
the different PRO-Keds 2 stripes were way before than any stripes on skate shoes such as Lakai or Adio etc., way before than stripes at Create Rec etc.
Just learn the sneaker history, bro. Peace
Dope Shit!
the PRO-Ked Bobbito Royal Flash will be released this Fall 2009. “El Barrio” is an aka for Spanish Harlem, which is where I first saw the model in 1981, and where I copped a deadstock pair circa 1990 (which was used to construct the 30th anniversary re-issue). for more info, peep my blog post about them:

and to the hypebeast people–kindly drop me a line at bobbito@somosarte.com, we’ve never met and i’d love to have a direct line with you in the future for stuff like this.
PEACE!!!
Those are pretty much exactly the MJ 3 hi from Lakai, now I am not sure who did the stripes like that first but I am surprised that it is actually being made like that for that reason.
Finally some fresh new colors! Mustard, rust, olive and wine. Don’t see that all the time.
don’t like them, too much resemblance with adidas gazzelle
dooope Yellooow!
If Bobbito were Japanese he’d be declared a Living National Treasure.
nasty , i cant wait ! i need all colors for real
they are cool enough, but the toe box is a little odd which make these a bit wack…
