Since the launch of the Abbington collection a few seasons ago, we’ve seen Timberland Boot Company turn the corner as the classic American brand strives to diversify itself. Their 2009 fall/winter collection continues on this path of producing a distinct aesthetic for “classic, innovative, quality footwear.” Their seasonal inspirations take them to the 1930-40’s era of northern England work/outdoor boots which often embodied special production methods and strong detailing. Horween burnished leathers undergoing special treatments are the centerpiece alongside heavy-duty buckles and zippers. The collection is broken down into three lines, The Colrain (military-inspired), the Counterpane (a dressier line) and the Tackhead (which reflects a resourceful and contemporary Timberland).

    Timerland Boot Company is different that Timberland with manufacturing and materials used, simularities end at the name. I have three pairs of the Fall08 collection and love them all. The construction, comfort, detail and finish is second to nome for a work boot durability with materials of a dress boot…I like the fall lines better than the spring, and the boots are a must. They put redwings to shame

    Timberland is a fake. They don´t face their manufacturing problems& make customer waste TIME AND MONEY. Timberland isn´t found in the best shoeshops or big stores in Toronto. WHY?
    Were all clients dissatisfied like me?
    Pay gore-tex Tim¨s and get feet wet.

    I think these are only available at select retailers – the only shop i’ve seen that carries some of this stuff from past seasons is Oak NYC.

    The third boots from the top and second boots from the bottom are nice.
