OriginalFake unveils a closer look into the highly anticipated collaborative metal figure concoction between KAWS and famed Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama. A manifestation of Hajime Sorayama’s original painting in 2006, the 13″ figure comes to life with a fully-posable robotic metal finish. For sure, it’s really cool….for sure, it’s a piece of art…but a G? really? In times like this people are gonna spend a G on a…forgive me, ‘action figure’?

I’ve always followed KAWS, I definitely respect his work waaaay before hypebeast mania….but dang, that’s a steep price to pay. But I guess there’s some merit to the price when Sorayama’s name gets involved.
