BBC: Faces of the favelas with JR
by Eugene Kan, June 18, 2009

The man responsible for bringing to the forefront the decrepit conditions experienced by many people living in Brazil’s favelas, the BBC through audio and photography feature the initiative of French artist JR. As well as hearing JR’s own personal words, a number of first-hand accounts from residents that live and experience the favelas lifestyle are heard as they outline the importance of JR’s work.
