Produced for their Summer 2009 footwear lineup, with obvious inspiration from the iconic adidas Stan Smith, A Bathing Ape work up two new colorways in their Morning Sta sneakers, featuring clean-cut white tonal uppers with minimal color highlights. only idiots with easy access to mommy’s credit cards wear this crap.
No design originality, no superiour craftsmanship, just “hey everyone, look at my overpriced shit, aren’t I cool?”

the sad thing is that a bunch of d-riders, oops I means fans will be spending money on these straight up knock-offs because they don’t even know…when were bapes ever really original anyways? other than making a dunk look like a (patent) rainbow (which, by the way, kids in the hood were already doing for years )…as a matter of fact the majority of the footwear industry is knocking off each other left-n-right on a day-to-day basis…bleh….

    simply deplorable

These are cool. Haters stop hating. “inspired” is the thing of the times….1/2 the music we listen to is “inspired” or “sampled” from something. That is the times we live in, and in all reality it has been happening for thousands of years. Take an architecture history class and it might open up your eyes to the history of creative “inspiration”, one man might build a wall out of stones because he has too many of them lying around his yard and it makes sense….another man from another land sees that wall, wants one at his house and pays to have the same stone imported from another country so he can copy that style at his crib….it doesn’t make sense monetary way but it happened. Is he some kinds of asshole for copying a style? Some people would rather rock some Stan Smiths that were made by Nigo…you like Germans more then Japanese? Who fucking cares. I like both. I like you. Peace the fuck out.

Agree with all the haters. Sad.

Weak sauce. This whole “inspired” by needs to be recognized for what it is, straight up plagiarism. Get some originality. But I guess the name of the brand is fitting… After all: Monkey see, monkey do.

So when Visvim ‘rip off’ the Stan Smiths it’s OK but when bape do it you all have a seizure?

those yellow things are so wierd, make the shoes look dirty…

So these are supposed to be better than SS’s…..why?

I’m so glad BAPE has fallen out of favor. People making profit from ripping off iconic sneakers is sad, the worst part is that people still fall for it.

actually its more like a nike sweet or tennis classic
if u look at the stitching, they both have similiar stitching

I can’t think of a single reason for someone to buy these instead of Stans… why even bother bape?

More knock-offs from Bathing Ape. Just get the real ones instead from Adidas.

maybe they’ll fit better than stan smiths at least. the adidas are way too narrow.

“obvious inspiration from the iconic adidas Stan Smith” – Understatement. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks it’s lame BAPE bites on classics.

So, explain to me what’s the difference between knock-offs and Bape footwear is? Chomp chomp…

(The shape also reminds me of the Greenstar as well…)
