Celebrating the launch of Spike Jonze big screen adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are, Medicom Toy will be producing a commemorative set of Kubricks in some of the films/books favorite characters, including the protagonist, Max. The set boasts eight figures from the Maurice Sendak children’s book, with a release scheduled for October of this year. All eight toys, along with a special 12″ Max RAH (Real Action Hero) Doll are now available for pre-order through select Medicom retailers.

    I wish they did more justice with the toys, because Sendak’s illustrations were superb in detail. They should’ve given it the spunk and wildness of these guys deserve that people (who read the book and will most likely watch the film) as (will/) remember them by!
    And yeah, Max should have his hood up with the crown on! It just looks like a rushed job…that’s all.
