Manchester United center back Rio Ferdinand is the latest sports personality to participate in the Nike 1World series as the dominant defender puts together a clean and relatively thoughtless Air Force 1. The shoe’s white upper features minor infusions of color with a gold Swoosh and gold heel embroideries. The sole is a creamy translucent white. Some other noteworthy details are lacelocks that are marked by LF-1 and TF-1 and a touching quote on the insole. Available at the Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer Store in New York but should be pretty hard to get outside of the UK.

    Ferdinand! You and Vida are the greatest central defenders in the Europe and the world. Now to Rome to prove to the world that Manchester United is the greatest attacking and defending force in Europe. Messi will be contained by Evra, Ronaldo/Wazza/Carlitos/Berba…enough said.

    Nice, but not really that special, The quote on the inside of the shoe will come off within a week or two of wearing. If I had the opportunity to make my own forces I think I’d be a little bit more creative.
