im glad u feel as if u alone hold the meaning of electro, but i shall say this. if u look at any genre, how it has been defined would have changed over time. i would say that due to the relatively recent attention that a lot of electronic music has received, that electro is being used as a more blanket term to cover a lot of electronic genres that are now being thrown back and forth in conversation, this isnt a bad thing unless you happen to be particularly prescriptive about your language views.
