Having worked together in the past on a regular basis, here’s a look into Levi’s and Porter’s 2009 spring/summer collection. While any Levi’s relevant relationship would conjure up thoughts of denim as the base material, the capsule revolves around nylon materials. The different mediums include wallets, pouches, key cases and a backpack. Each piece includes an iconic reference to Levi’s with the Red Tab seen alongside the Porter logo.     I’m not quite sure why Porter is so big either. There are more creative (and less expensive) Japanese accessory/luggage brands out there such as MSPC (Masterpiece). I’ve seen some interesting Porter collaborations–the Porter x Maharishi black tonal camo backpack comes to mind–but overall their stuff usually doesn’t impress me that much.

    Sorry folks, but for me, this stuff is just ugly, uninventive and not particularly functional it seems. Can any one tell me why Porter is so big?
