Debuting this year, Scandinavian denim brand Acne offers a preview into their 09-10 fall/winter collection. A noticeable absence is the lack of denim showcased in their upcoming collection. Some nice poppy colors are incorporated into the style side of things with cable-knit sweaters and some solid footwear.

Thank god someone explained the world we live breath and shop to CHUCKY, as Hypebeast is being taken far to seriously by some. I agree with being sick and tired of seeing Marc, Jay Z, and in some respect Kanye on here. BUT give respect, they are massivley talented, massively critcial of there own self and there work, they paid there dues, and worked there arse off to get where they are, and now they can have fun. If that fun means shoving coke up your nose, bagging a playboy girl or designing clothe, they got there so let them take it, and take the photos.
If your not interested or are jealous then go and sit in a cave and don’t believe the hype / life.
If you want to blame some one, blame the tabloid press, and the dull people that subscibe to this bollocks!

I am as STEFAN L. says working my ass off to hone my craft, at a very large, very corporate, very photocopier freindly high street label. I get shot down in flames EVERY day to bring to you (the customer) the stuff you want, deserve and believe in, which my buyers and bosses do not see, as the ”cash cow” that only they believe in as the GOLDEN EGG PRODUCT that will shift unbeleivable qty’s season after season for the lowest unit price possible. But every time I take the shit from my bosses, buyers, I am actually doing it for my own vision, and for you the HypeBeast and high street customer as it makes my (As I belive it did for Marc J et al’s) determination stronger, clearer and closer to reality to see and ‘do’ my vision both now and in the future to bring you the best possible togs that can be made.

Watch this space Hypebeast 3000, it may not be me that is on these pages, but it will be someone like me, or Marc, or Jayzee that has worked there balls to the floor to bring there vision.
(Wether is mass market, luxury goods, or niche and hard to find)

If its some one that makes it through contacts, parties, fucking the next big thing, or old has been with contacts, whatever, sure they deserve it becasue they have played this game called life in a very different way to how I intend, but they made it by still being succesful (at this game), but with a different deck of hands, and a different poker face.

My only complaint in this whole argument is the reptitive nature of so called trends, and the lack of TRUE innovation*, and the speed in which we discard our garments, if you want to think about something that will really effect us, should I then introduce to the world of the HYPEBEAST reader,

I sense a rant coming on…..Chuckyyyy….I was like you once but then i got over it. Some super sensitive nerd actually devoted an entire blog that reflected your exact sentiment a few years back and it was really funny cause it was super pathetic and sad. hate hate hate and for what? Walk with me.

I think the answer to your question lies in your own outline of the growth process that you claim to have a firm understanding of. Your irreverent synopsis of the creative process is laughable. That process that you’ve boiled down to about 75 words takes years of trial, error, and hardship; a struggle that you clearly acknowledge in your rose (well, weed) through concrete analogy. For reason though, you failed to draw the connection between that process and the character of those who have endured it. The reason that these “over the hill celebrities” have this opportunity is not because it was granted to them through some divine appointment but rather because they worked their asses off and therefore deserve that clout. (Am i actually explaining this to someone right now?)

You think mark jacobs was all strolling around like his shit dont stink 15+ (’92 i believe) years ago when the press was kicking his ass for his grunge collection for Perry Ellis? No, he was chubby, awkward, nerdy, and an industry outcast – who worked his ass off to hone his craft to the point where he is the jewel in the worlds largest luxury producer’s (LVMH) crown. So yeah, now its all new body, new husband, loaded, party all the time – oh, you mad? Doesnt work like that..

I’ll stop there because i sense a digression coming on (guilty). Both of your examples were 21 with with a vision once and were ridiculed and laughed at but luckily for us, refused to conform. Insted they buckled down and followed their instinct and came out on top and now we’re sick of em! fair enough but they deserve SOME credit.

Woe is us! Who is to blame? Is that even the issue? Don’t believe the hype (FUCK where is chuck d when you need him), have fun with it. laugh at it. recognize it for what it is. unbunch your panties take a deep breath and create something homes. You’ll be ecstatic when Hypebeast 3000 writes about your revolution it in 10 years time. or not! become a social worker! whatever you decide; stay positive and keep on. Good luck, chucky

Good luck, chucky

i understand fashion, i understand that all that is underground like a weed must rise to the surface even if it is to fight through concrete to do so. i understand that mainstream is a process of waiting for the proper time when tolerances are built and new heights can be reached. what i dont understand is how because some over the hill celebrities like jay z and marc jacobs get to decide what 21yr olds wear. or is it that they are just feeding off of the already numb and controlled minds of a generation nearly completely complacent….you decide.

p.s. how is this hypebeast material i ask you, simply because some rich and boring celebs are wearing lanvin? acne is almost a reason to post this, but almost only counts in a game of horse shoes and when throwing hand grenades(some one should through a grenade at the computer of whoever posted this information. throw a grenade at my computer so i dont have to read whack ass hypebeast anymore. viva la revolucion
