The collaborations with designer helmet makers Atelier Ruby continue as Karl Lagerfeld represents among the latest high-profile personalities to jump on board. Lagerfeld’s work is subtle with the use of tweed, however a noteworthy piece of design comes via the incorporation of an iPod pocket off to the side. However, we doubt there’s any actual performance associated with the pocket such as working with embedded speakers inside the helmet. The helmet is set to release as part of the 2009 fall collection.

I really hope there isn’t speakers in there since this is a MOTORCYCLE helmet, not a skate helmet like the other guy said. I’d rather be able to hear what’s going on than some sweet tunes, so yeah, really hope its cosmetic.

you are dumb.. it is great spot for a ipod, unless your a rookie, when you are skating around you are not always falling on your head… and if you do its not usually full force skull first… soooo.. end result your ipod especially the nano can take some abuse and there will be no scratches because if you look a little closer you can see that its actually a full pocket so there wont even be a scratch on your ipod… sorry but you just got blllaaaaaasssssssssttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddddddd
