During a whip skid, if you aren't extremely careful, you will clip out. I was on a 15m fixed bay hills ride, when, skidding down a hill at 25mph, I accidentally clipped out. I tried to do a footjam on my back wheel, but clipless shoes are slippery; & when I did this my other foot clipped out. The only way for me to stop was to jump off my bike. Going down a hill. At over 25mph. Accidental clipping out is not a problem with clips & straps, which is why I would be buying a pair of these shoes if they weren't hideous & $200.
