Freeman Transport recently unveiled their latest bicycle silhouette, in the Gravel Racer. The bike takes inspiration from Nathaniel Freeman’s great, great grandfather who was known as the inventor of the sites for the Colt .45, during the Industrial Revolution. Taking inspiration from the iconic gun, Freeman Transport reworks those vary same elements into a new bicycle design. Aside from offering a basic frame and fork option, the Gravel Racer will become available in a complete build, which offers: Formula Hubs, Sugino RD2 Cranks, Tange Head Set, Brooks B17 while the Deluxe option offers Phil Woods Hubs, White Industries Cranks, Brooks B17, Chris King Head Set amongst other details.

I love this bike so much. the saddle, The saddle bag ….and the handle bars for that matter. This seems more like a cruisin bike to me though. flats and a front break, and a freewheel could be a nice addition. I was really into these saddle bags but they are like 300$$. One day.. :)

“Taking inspiration from the iconic gun, Freeman Transport reworks those vary same elements into a new bicycle design”… which part is gun-inspired? it looks bike-inspired to me. i don’t see any Colt .45 sights on there. maybe a comment about the fact that it’s collapsible (check the top and down tubes) would have been appropriate. if you buy this bike, make sure it doesn’t go off while you’re cleaning it.

nice tight clerances and timeless look! WAY nicer than those “made in china” looking Hypebeast wannabe collab bikes that appeared here last week. C’mon how many brains does it take to come up with a yellow/black bike that looks just like any other Se lager, pake, you name it…WOW

Now that is a beautiful bike, i love the roll up saddle bag idea. And it is inspired by a gun? It is a very elegant bike regardless.
