Dickies is at the center of this three way collaboration which includes the likes of some New York living legends in the street scene. Photographer Ricky Powell, a man that needs absolutely no introductions and who has documented numerous important events over his lifetime involved three OG graffiti artists over a four t-shirt collection. ZEPHY, QUIK and DR. REVOLT each offer their own interpretation in a Ricky Powell original print. Some extensive bios can be read at the Dickies.eu.

Thiz, and Camden can not be seriously asking what Dickies has to do with Graph!! Let a real OG explain. This isn’t about Subway Art books homies. Im a 37 year old Graph head who grew up with this culture ( Lower East Side till I die ). Real heads know the synergy, cause we been here, and we where wearing Dickies to go get up, cause No one cared how bad you dogged your Dickies with paint and dirt, plus the work bums who chased us through the lay ups wore Dickies as part of their uniforms. I know a lot of people are on this tip of acting like they know, but the young need to understand that our culture isn’t yet old enough for people to be trying to re invent it yet. Futura was considered a toy by his peers in NY, and just cause some kids in Japan or in the Suburbs here in America think that a Nike collabo makes you Hot, your confused…Graph artist want and have to be respected by their peers period, and some Nike collabo isn’t going to do that for you. Just ask Stash how much doe he really has made messing with these company’s, and the answer is not much!!! Again Big up to Dickies for the collabo, and to the real heads that know…

Agree, there is no real line between dickies and ny graff. But anyway makes more sense then the other collabs out. Where is the line between Crooks and Vans and so on. I saw alot of writers rockin`dickies pants. they are cheap and durable. perfect for writing. So there is a small link. any one saw the CLOUT mag X Cope tee. That shit is crazy! Seems to be the graff revival era: STUSSY teamimg up with Ghost, Carhartt with Krink. After the sold out Skateboarding, Streetart they get back to graff. But anyway I like the DICKIES tees even they are away to expensive for me.

semi cosign, Futura was up, he’s in “subway art” and everything, but Kaws was definitely never anything near a king.

but i dont understand what dickies has to do with nyc graff? dont they make work clothes? i mean i know dudes in nyc were runnin around replacin their jeans with black and blue dickies pants at one point but like, other than that this seems like a random ass collab.

and the all city QUIK shirt is crazy, his Q was always ridic..

Big Up to Dickies for bringing back some real OG’s of the graph game, cause for some reason every one keeps doing collabos with Futura, and Kaws when the truth of the matter is that either one of them where ever KINGS in the graph game. So Nike needs to give it a rest along with all the other brands the follow… Shout out to some real KINGS!!!! Lee Quinones, and that Bad Ass white boy SEEN…
