Nike Air Classic BW Red/Black/White Colorway
by L. Ruano, April 1, 2009

Following up on earlier samples, Nike officially drops a new colorway in their Classic BW Series which initially made its debut back in 1991. The sneakers still maintain their nostalgic value with a clean color scheme similar to that of the iconic Violet makeup instead replaced by vibrant red accenting on a black/white backdrop. Available now at select Nike accounts including Caliroots.

TIP: Too prevent ot stop cracking on the sneaker, brush on a thin layer of MATTE (not Gloss or satin) acrylic paint sealer. I do this for all my vintage kicks when i first cop them or restore them. Nike more than likely think fit and design 1st over the midsole paint elasticity. but yeh cop a lil bottle of this from Walmart or any arts and craft store. u can test it out with a lil paint brush or thin it out.
I really hope Nike has cleaned up their act for the paint job on the midsoles!
Whilst a big thumbs up to Nike for their decision to re-issue the Persian BWs, the kicks were a huge disappointment in terms of QC! Why are so many paint jobs on midsoles cracking up in recent years?? And Nike does not seem to be bothered or try to make an effort to look into this issue…
Solid classic colorway a-la Chicago Bulls. I’m down for 2 pairs. Thanks.
