Kanye West’s ever expanding G.O.O.D Music roster is home to more then just a bevy of talented MCs. Mr. Hudson’s blue eyed soulful crooning found a spot onto Kanye’s 808s and Heartbreak album and a coveted spot on the record label. For those unfamiliar with the UK singer, one listen to his song and video entitled “There Will Be Tears” and you will instantly understand what Kanye sees, and hears, in Hudson. The strength of the song lies in its melancholy beauty, layered auto tune vocals and a slight electronic flair. The tune sounds like it would have fit perfectly on Kanye’s last album. However, Hudson’s own image and personality comes through in a equally entertaining video directed by Nabil.
