Curated by Aaron Rose, the Barry McGee, Ed Templeton, and Raymond Pettibon group show officially opened up this past week. The exhibition featured a collection of works by some of the contemporary art world’s most prestigious artists. Having all three shared experiences in the subcultures of graffiti, skateboarding, and punk, the opening proved to be a nostalgic look into the past and present within powerful portraits symbolizing various issues in the realm of teenage youth, social unrest, and as put so well by Aaron Rose “the constant power struggle between a man and his destiny”. McGee, Templeton, & Pettibon will run through May 30th, 2009 at the Circleculture Gallery in Berlin.
