Years after Kid Cudi penned the soon to be stoner classic “Day N’ Nite” his buzz has become deafening and is only intensifying with each new leaked song. The latest to hit the blogosphere is the mid tempo, playful song entitled “I Poke Her Face”. The song’s not so subtle play on words samples Lady GaGa’s recent dance floor smash “Poker Face”. Kanye West not only provides the beat, with his trademark drums, but also drops a dope verse for fans hungry to hear Kanye rhyme again. The always reliable seasoned veteran Common tags along for the ride and A-Trak compliments the joint with some well placed record scratches.

This is Mister Maniac. I produced this track(Aquarium) in 2005 and had it
reviewed by an executive at Motown Records. Apparently Nosaj Thing
remixed it for Kid Cudi(Man in the Moon Track).

I never received any notification my track
would be used or payment, now I have two artists both using my track
    without my consent!

I’m sure that there is a reasonable explaination as to why a track I submitted to Motown is being used
in a slightly remixed form as a title track on a Motown artist’s album. I hope that these artists both contact me
and resolve this issue so I can receive proper credit for my contribution to the track.

this is real hip hop! underground music is garbage! and lil wayne is the best rapper alive!

This is fucking garbage. A-Trak is dope, but anything to do with ugly Gaga makes me hate music.

to hopoff718, if you think cudi’s not a lyricist, go listen to “man on the moon”

kudi is not a lyricist…but i think overall his music is good. so i just try to look at him as just more of a music artist in general and not necessarily label him as a rapper or singer or watever. he’s a music artist and he does make good music. good enough for me.

Yea… that’s a good look for letting A-trak do some scratchin on the track…..slowly getting back to real Hip-Hop!

I think Cudi really blew up because his newer tracks are big club hits. I have no comment on the guy myself. Do your thing.

Good hip hop didn’t go anywhere. Crap hop tookover when hip hop became popular to the masses and corporations. When it becomes main stream (radio, mtv, bet, commercials sampling) is when you hate it. M’fers gotta eat, so don’t get mad when a dope mc makes some ish for the radio from time to time…bless

    @ Cubs suck

“Look up in Da Stars” is actually a mash of a wale song and kid cudi’s song. The production and voice on the hook are done by a young producer named Breez, while the Cudi and Wale parts are recycled from previous tracks they each recorded, so its not an official Cudi track… but none the less a dope song.
