i love basic shoes with good board feel. i’ve been skating the spanky’s so these should skate nice. All the shoes that come out of gravis come from arto and dylan.they’re doing something completely original and it’s sick.

wow, so original and slick looking. Congrats Dylan/ Gravis on being the first in years to take a risk and finally do something new with skate shoes. Good shit, I’d love to have both pairs.

Dylan low’s — So sick!!! they look like they are not skate-able and the sole looks thin at first glance, but In person, the sole actually extends up into the shoes. I tried them on and did a few ollies… seriously, they are insanity!!! so dope and cush…

The mid’s — just as sick. Sign me up for both!!

…and to the douche that made the Burton comment. The company is still privately owned by Jake… Not too many of those left out there. Stoked Jake’s involved and letting his team riders do what the effff they want to. But, don’t take my word for it, go read all the interviews in skate mags about how stoked the skaters are to work in a company that they have a voice.

HEY. TOO BAD NONE OF YOU SKATEBOARD.

These ARE skateable. Yes, The grey ones ARE skateable. Watch mindfield. Reider does the fresco line in them.

Both of these are dope, and i’ll for sure try an cop both of them.

….And i’m losing my mind of Shoetrashs’ comment. Dylan reider is FAR from limited to tranny. Watch a couple of his parts. And even if he was limited to that. – Its the best kind of skating anyways.

Huge fan of these. The lows especially. I won’t wear em but I’m certain that this is the kind of thing that needs to happen in skate and it’s funny that Gravis is willing to go there and the other skate brands continue down the same old road..
That sole is thin yes, but… have you looked at the thickness of a vans classic or pretty much any vulcanized shoe lately? not much difference.

    I’m backing change.

    Change is good.

these are off-the-chain weird and ugly.
but maybe other people like this steez.
but are the lows really skate shoes? i haven’t seen pics of the bottom sole.but yeah having seen the mindfield part he does seem to have skated in those.

    gravis < vans

  12. Posted by: mrh on April 23, 2009 at 7:51 pm

how the fuck are these skatable????

  13. Posted by: kick flip on April 23, 2009 at 6:02 pm

The Dylan Mindfield spot is off the chain. ShoeTrash-let me know when you figure out how to ollie. As for these kicks…I don’t think so. Gravis is dope, but these shoes miss the mark for me.

this is to Shoe Trash – you should just stop and shut your mouth dude. you know nothing about skateboarding saying that dylan is limited in tranny. dylan rips everything. why do you think he’s on alien workshop? who cares if he skated for vans or for nike, if you want to go back that far. he’s on a solid program with gravis. so what if gravis is owned by burton. you know nothing about burton. this company would be public company cause the owner, jake, would never want people telling him what he can and can’t do. yeah, vans is owned by a huge company called pf corp. so why don’t you do some research before you flap your mouth. damn fool.

UH HUH, just saw his vid on Mind Field. I admit it was a good part and was surprised. The shoes still look funky for skate.

Anyone know where to get the lows online?

  17. Posted by: Nathan King on April 23, 2009 at 12:17 pm

When are they going to be on the market?

  18. Posted by: Nathan King on April 23, 2009 at 12:16 pm

A good looking pair of shoes

  19. Posted by: CH Luke on April 23, 2009 at 12:06 pm

Gravis is definitely taking a pretty large risk on this one but the unique look and that fact that it IS SKATE ABLE may make it an appealing shoe to buy to a certain populous.

The mid’s are for sure going to be mine, the lows are debatable. I think I’d have to see them and try them on.

    P.S.

ShoeTrash- Please do your research before you start making posting’s on Dylan’s status because you obviously didn’t have a clue about Dylan wining AM of the year about is TWS or AWS parts and the fact that he can skate ANYTHING from rails to tranny. I mean his ended in his TWS part was a s/s big flip down 10 and his Mindfield part was a fakie tre down an oversized 5 which rivals Koston FF ender.

    Limited Tranny at that huh?

shoetrash…you’re fuckin outta your mind. rieder’s fucking nuts on a board…get up to date man. low’s obviously not many would skate em unless you’re skatin the spanky’s mids look skateable.

  21. Posted by: uh huh on April 23, 2009 at 5:21 am

well shoe trash, you must not like skateboarding that much because you haven’t seen his mindfield part, which was crazy. his time to shine part was amazing. skateboarders are not limited to their shoe sponsors. but keep up your poor arguments.

  22. Posted by: dave on April 22, 2009 at 8:43 pm

hey tc, you should check out dylan’s part in alien workshop’s mind field, he seems to be able to rip in those shoes pretty damn well.

  23. Posted by: CASHLETES on April 22, 2009 at 7:43 pm

Eh, I like the black mids better.

  24. Posted by: mecqrab on April 22, 2009 at 7:24 pm

    already copped both of em.

  25. Posted by: ShoeTrash on April 22, 2009 at 5:28 pm

I like Skate, I like High Fashion, But I don’t like when the two mix together. Why on earth would you call these an actual skate shoe Gravis?

Gravis, It’s obvious that your a greedy money grabbing opportunist who we all know is Burton snowboard’s attempt to be Skate/Fashion/footwear.

P.S. Where is Dylan Rieder now since he was on VANS and had the New jack interview? Oh but that’s right back to proving your all about the money, because you take someone who’s got a decent name who came from VANS but can only skate some tranny and is limited even on that.

    Best be capitalizing!

    Good Luck…

  26. Posted by: 666 on April 22, 2009 at 4:25 pm

    WOW.

definitely NOT intended for skateboard use.

who the f**k would by those bottom ones to skate in are you joking.

  27. Posted by: lucas on April 22, 2009 at 3:38 pm

    low ones are amazing

  28. Posted by: TC on April 22, 2009 at 3:37 pm

yeah, that those look real skateable…
