Cut-and-Sew: A Look Into the Works of Nash & Lazy

Ideally, what would be your dream collaboration or project?
Haha…I have been dreaming of designing furniture and lifestyle product for sometime. It would be awesome to get a chance to work within furniture/lifestyle design.
Do you have a particular favorite work to date?
This is a difficult one. Often times when I finish working on a custom, I feel that I could have done it better in one way or another. That favorite piece of work just never seems to come true.
For sure, it can definitely be like that sometimes. Your recent work for WARPED was insane though, was there a particular concept in mind?
There wasn’t really a concept behind those shoes. They really weren’t all that easy to work with, due to the limited number of paneling. I just went with my signature touch, hoping to give a new, refreshing feel to the original platform. I’m glad that I managed to pull it off, just nice.
That project definitely kicked off a good 2009. Do you have anything else in store this year?
Nothing major is set in stone yet. But I certainly hope that I’m able to show
more of my graphic design work under the umbrella name of Lazything in 2009. Definitely more custom sneakers and even maybe something more than sneakers.
I’m currently working on a few things with my boys from Sole Obsession. I’ll be designing a series of t-shirts for them due to drop in June and we are also preparing for an upcoming event which I will keep you posted on. Aside from that, I have a couple of collaboration projects coming up for both of my clothing brands (Geseho and Visualterrorist).
Thanks again for your time Tony, do you have any closing words?
I’d just like to say thank you to Hypebeast for doing this interview. And to everyone else who takes the time to read this.
Stay well.
