CreateBuildDestroy break in their 2009 Spring/Summer lineup with a new collection entitled Greetings from the Outside. The lineup features a smaller assortment of product, focused around their signature cut-and-sew v-necks, made from 100% organic cotton combined with vintage fabric ribbing. Along with their signature brand of t-shirts, CreateBuildDestroy works up an original Pency Prep piece inspired by Catcher in the Rye and done in collaboration with Wolf&Pack Amsterdam.

let’s face it…these look like fun. wear them, wash them. quit your bitchin!

@discoiskinky – completely valid observation, however after one or two washes the collars soften up, shrink up and fall more regularly – the garments in the photos have never been washed, but the products are made with the assumption that people will wash their clothing

I like Wolf and Pack in Amsterdam. One of the best shops there, for sure.

The Pencey Prep t-shirt is nice. Makes me laugh. Heralds a very subtle but cool re-enshrinement of the great Holden Caulfield, early literary character who got in the face of all that was wrong in modern life. Holden was kind of a New York pre-cursor to Woody Allen but imbued by Salinger with his own comedic style.

Good timing and going with the collaboration shirt.

lmao this kid JOSIAH is a fucking herb. get a life and hop off create’s dick just cuz u don’t make no bread like them. (yes, i am fully aware that this post is grammatically incorrect. fortunately, this is not the SATs. grow up.)

@Discoiskinky – not necessarily bad patterning, they just should have used vintage self-fabric knits instead of wovens for the ribbing. It’s very difficult to get stiff wovens to lay flat – even James Perse has problems with this on his premium basics.

    Sweet concept though. Definitely innovative.

    haha, Josiah
Mr. grammar himself-check your own shit again.
you’ve embarrassed yourself with incorrect use of “your.”
    and use words you know.
i looked up “anacoluthic” and it means you’re an idiot.

  12. Posted by: Jordan on May 2, 2009 at 12:11 pm

    I am a Cretin!

  13. Posted by: JOSIAH on May 2, 2009 at 4:45 am

Actually, you are correct Jordan, you don’t think. You should first learn how to properly convey your thoughts into written word before you attempt to respond to another Poster’s rhetorical question.
Your entire post is anacoluthic and incompetently punctuated. “Think about and then… about how your feeling”. Your a real Cretin!

“strongRm” I wasnt talking about the neck drop – they are hardly deep. I was talking about the neck BAND and how it peaks towards the shoulders. it is a result of bad pattern making and construction. It’s harder to get right when using wovens on a cut and sew piece but the results here could be easily improved, it just makes an otherwise ok range look cheap and sloppy.

JOSIAH, I don’t think anybody thinks smoking cigarettes is cool, but no one in these pics is promoting smoking cigarettes. Think about and then you can go talk to your D.A.R.E. police counselor about how your feeling. ok

“Discoiskinky” probably doesn’t want to reveal his bird chest in public. Those V-necks are tight… I think they got ‘em @ Reed Space, where the current recession has prohited joanne and josiah (above haters) from shopping… Lmao.

  20. Posted by: JOSIAH on May 1, 2009 at 8:56 am

Since when did smoking become cool…. SMOKING is for straight up SUCKERS.

Holy crap. This alone is enough to inspire me to build a silk screen and make hella t-shirt prints.
