adidas x Crooked Tongues ‘VIP’ Munchen

After the success of last September’s ‘Oktoberfest’ adidas x Crooked Tongues Munchen, legendary shoe designer Markus Thaler (one of the minds behind the legendary ZX range) joined the project to offer his own unique ‘outdoors’ take on the cult silhouette.
A premium material mix, a new approach to panelling, covered tongue, D-Ring fastenings and a forefoot with duck boot design cues are bolstered by some eccentric detailing. As a Bavarian, Markus knows the area’s aesthetic far better than we ever could, and he takes the upper of this late ‘70’s training shape into off-road, woodland territory, set on the familiar cup sole.
