bape pirate store 00 A Look Inside A Bathing Apes Pirate Store

With all the talk surrounding Bape’s newest pop-up location, we now get a full view into the brands Pirate Store which officially opened today (JST). The store looks mighty impressive with a completely decked out pirate decor including chests and large scale shark figures. Definitely another bold move by A Bathing Ape and General Nigo.

this time, BAPE copy the pattern from SB (the wooden pattern inside SB shoe box), looks like that pattern from my view point, but i really like the big sculpture, anywhere i can buy those?

Actually comparing Bape’s version of the pirate store to Disneyland is quite the compliment. Have you been to Disneyland lately? Their attention to detail is really unmatched.

The ship interior is humorous. I doubt this was the work of Wonderwall though.

What the hell anyone not revealing the location of this store? I don’t get it?
But I know one thing, it’s a covered way to do some sales.

According to the Bape site, it’s in Nagano…

    to ryan

This store is actually Nagano. It far away from Tokyo.
It’s about 3~4hours by train from Tokyo station.

    This is Karuizawa, Karuizawa-cho, Kitasakuma-gun, Nagano-ken

if you are gonna do a themed store do it right bape, cheap props are not the one, considering how much Bape take, in revenue and after looking at the cost of each of their garments you would expect them to do interior spaces that are on a level beyond the hundreds. The hundreds store blows this cheap excuse of an interior space outta the water!

Big Joey….Big ups! Hah…I remember reading that article along with others that told the story of the meaning behind Bape. Fact is…people are sheep and can’t think for themselves. Props to Nigo for creating a mockery and making millions off it. Who’s the tool now?

Dave Eggers and 826 Valencia did this YEARS ago and for a very great cause. And they are still doing it!

Not hating on BAPE but this is certainly not very original nor is it well-executed, it looks like an old wooden ship. is it an OLD WOODENSHIP store?

I’d expect this maybe from Disneyland but not from the almighty BATHING APE.

Wow! I’m pretty impressed! Say what you want about BAPE clothing, I personally own none, but this store is pretty innovative and creative. If given the chance to check out this store, I think by sheer impulse and impressiveness, I would buy something and tell people about the store. Well done, Nigo and crew. Amazing marketing!

    somali pirates not included?

  22. Posted by: Makana on April 28, 2009 at 11:53 pm

C’ mon Nigo, this peg-leg, eyepatch, shiver-me-timbers pirate scheme is so played out. Get with the new-school and open the store on a hijacked Oil-rig in Somalian coastal waters. Could give every employee a RPG launcher and hold customers hostage till they buy something, then you wouldn’t even need to drop the price of tees to $41, you could make it whatever you want!
