The Spike Jonze directed Where the Wild Things Are brings light to the iconic Maurice Sendak children’s book most of us remember reading as a child including fellow bloggers Bobby Hundreds and Jeff Hamada. Making its big screen debut over 40 years after its inception in the world of books, we finally get a chance to check out the official trailer.

An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.

    the book is one of my most vivid childhood memories (next to “goodnight moon”). even my son loved the story as a toddler. the trailder did not convey the same feeling i had as a child, but i will watch it anyway… w/ my son of course.
