For many the exorbitant price associated with Nike Sportswear’s Bespoke service is well worth it as you’re effectively given free reign on perhaps the most iconic sneaker ever, the Air Force 1. Case in point, recent participant Drew V. put together this “Un-Amsterdam” Air Force 1 inspired by the Parra-designed Air Max 1 as the colorway lives to see another day. Some nice subtle and interesting detail includes the selvedge line along the back heel and the denim heel tab.

Alright so I just held these in my hands within the last 5 hours…needless to say I was damn near speechless to roll over to a friends spot and meet Drew for the first time with his “drewsterdams”. These uzi’s weigh a ton…literally (thats the wooden shoe inserts). To quickstriker about the speckled midsole – that was something that came to mind and I asked drew personally thinking that was something I definitely liked about the am87/1. The design consultant said it just wasn’t happening apparently. I don’t feel this detracts from the shoe however. I immediately noticed and was impressed with the selvedge denim and the oiled leather, as these are subtle but tasteful choices. The pics dont do the blue 3M swoosh justice. Big ups to drew for putting his own spin on probably the hottest colourway to date. Oh and I’m sure Lance will enjoy his pair as well. He already broke his collarbone now you broke his neck too. You’re a helluva guy.

    Magic Night,

First off thank you to HypeBeast for putting these up i will be picking them up sunday, for all the fans, thank PARRA for the inspiration, i simply put my own spin on it..
second, it would NOT have been cheaper to buy the AM1/87 reason being there are roughly 3-5 size 12’s in existence in the world, my chance of finding one is
    a) slim
    b) will cost me well over $1000
More on my experience will be over on SneakerNews.com shortly..
    thanks ya’ll

You have to be invited by NSW to custom one of these shoes. Run’s about $800+ and you’re not gonna find them on shelves. Big ups Drew!

Didn’t the AM1a have a speckled midslole? I wonder how these would’ve looked with a speckled midsole. Nice colorway though. Might seek these out.

Dont think Im feeling this one. AMSTERDAM is such a sick place and this shoe doesnt do it justice. They should have went with a green leaf and red light theme or something.
