Mercedes Benz AMG 300SL for Nigo

mercedes benz amg 300sl nigo Mercedes Benz AMG 300SL for Nigo

Bape founder Nigo’s baller-status is pretty much next-level from previous looks into his house and car collection (pink camo Bugatti Veyron comes to mind). It looks as though Mercedes Benz and their tuner AMG division have put together a special 300SL for the Bape General. I’m no car buff but apparently Nigo waited two years for this 300SL and my Google searches have been fruitless in finding exactly what this looks like.

UPDATE: Charles from Sneakers.fr mentions that it’s probably a 6.0L V8 stuffed into an older style 300SL… sleeper status!

    Great taste?? does it really take great taste to be into Levis, Nike, Mercedes, and Warhol? Am I supposed to be excited that he stuck a plate on some other guy’s masterpiece? If he did drop a new engine into an original Gullwing that is retarded. Nigo is a Hack!!

    Whomever idea it was to use the term “baller status” should be put on timeout. Smh

    However, the car is beautiful

    Pretty cheesy looking plate to me…The AMG and Bape logo and maybe Dates would have done it.

    @Charles, Nigo does not seem to have great taste, at all. Pink-camo wrapped Bugatti? Ugh.

    you can see the reflection of the gillwing door in the chrome plate…

    lol and its NOT and old benz 300SL with an AMG motor shoved under the hood, altho that would be cool.

    @myself

    @Greg: There is no new generation of the gullwing the one you posted is just a design from a carfanatic.

    @Charles

    Great taste, neh just lots of money, the original SL had those special doors because he doesn’t have a normal frame, that’s why they putted vertical doors on it.

    just my 2 cents :)

    I’m guessing this is the car: http://www.mymotorshow.com/?p=98
    This is the first time I have a herd of a new generation Gullwing.
