Edwin Ushiro | “Birth of Unreckoning” Limited Edition Print
by L.A. Ruano, March 1, 2009

Amazing multidimensional artist and Hypebeast favorite Edwin Ushiro has unveiled a new print, coming off a worldwide gallery touring in 2008. Produced in extremely limited quantities, the 12″x12″ signed and numbered piece will only see a run of 25 prints. Entitled “Birth of Unreckoning”, Edwin describes the inspiration behind the work: “In Hawaiian mythology, Madame Pele is the Hawaiian Goddess of fire, lightning, dance, volcanoes, and violence. Throughout my childhood in Hawaii, I have heard numerous reports from residents who have had an encounter with Pele. Many sightings forewarn an eruption of Kilauea (one of the world’s most active volcano)”. “Birth of Unreckoning”, printed on fine archival paper, is now available via A Paper Tiger.

Not to mention gallery shows across the globe…
Actually Edwin does not just “draw” he has a multi-step process. His paintings are done on acetate and then iron transferred to vinyl. I don’t even know the rest of the steps. I do know he has had work shown in galleries in Asia, Europe and the US and in a pair of museums exhibitions. Nah, nothing special.
just typical hypebeast blog circle jerk. dudes prints are nothing special, just a case of knowing the right people to push your bs. everyones trying to get rich without really working for it
why? first time visiting this site and i really still not sure what kind of site it is.. but what’s up with that?
from what i see it’s a simple print worth 100$? i tried but i really DON’T see anything special.
I dare to say that i draw better than that and that there’s countless of better ones for free
are you all just being weird trying to fit in a community or is there more?
really would like to hear how you see it,I’ll check by tomorrow or something
