American artist Cy Twombly presents his latest artwork at the Gagosian’s Britannia Street Gallery in London. With a total five different paintings, each piece shares some similarities with three boldly colored roses over four wood panels. With an eclectic mix of colors to depict the flowers, the paintings are further complimented by stanzas from German poet Rainer Maria Rilke’s “Les Roses” poems. The poems fit well with the work on the basis of Twombly’s ability to pair painting with poetry.
