Trying to borrow from the cleanliness and mature aesthetics associated with the whole concept of bespoke, Reebok release the CL “Bespoke”. A quick glance sees a wool pin-stripe pattern juxtaposed against leather to form the upper. Keeping with the theme, brogue punching is seen throughout the shoe. Available now at Bingo Runner.

    Puma did the whole bespoke thing a few years ago and I do think they turned out a bit better. I think the runner isn’t really the right choice to try to class up.

    Truly a nice attempt with the brogue inspired styling, pinstriped wool suit references, and thin laces like those on derbys and oxfords. However the overall profile of a reebok runner just fails to carry it off as a shoe that could be dressed up, as well as the painfully obvious reebok logo killing the whole thing before it could get out the gate.

    Now the Huf Adicolors was dressy and a good example of pulling it off correctly, even with the 3 stripes on the side.
