NexusVII x Porter Birkin Bag

In a well-designed and highly refined piece of luggage from NexusVII, together with Porter, the two have put together a well engineered bag with the Birkin. The bag features a rectangular base which extends upwards and becomes more narrow with an outer fabric created in quilted fashion. Another nice highlight is the clip-style closure system. Although the bag is currently sold out at Noa’s Ark, it should be available at other NexusVII retailers.

    @ CK: they even aped the name “Birkin” from Hermes. How the hell is this creative? What if I released a shoe that looks EXACTLY like the Air Max 1, made it black with quilted leather, and called it the CK Air Max 1? Is that original? Actually, almost all the Japanese brands do this. Just think about all those fake converse they pump out, or how Bape rips off the Clark Wallabee and Red Wing Irish Setter…weak! Sometimes I can understand if it’s “street”, some stuff for kids and teenagers to wear, but when you rip off the Hermes Birkin, call it Birkin, and sell it for some ridiculous price pretending to be all high-end.. that’s gone too far..

    i rather think it’s kinda creative. i wouldn’t take this as a rip-off, but kinda re-engineer it with respect to a timeless classic.

    This is ridiculous. Why does a site like Hypebeast support blatant rip-offs? The Birkin bag is a Hermes design which is timeless, and quite truly THEIRS!!! It has NOTHING to do with Nexus VII or Porter. This is a lazy excuse for design. This industry is pathetic if these type of ripoff products get coverage. Design and intellectual property used to mean something. Pretty sad . . . Hypebeast you should be ashamed . . .
