Known mainly for her marriage to late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain and her own musical tour with band Hole, Courtney Love’s career has had its fair share of wild antics stemming from her bold personality and penchant for being in the spotlight. As of late, shes taken a back seat from her 90′s rampage with a new book alongside world renown fashion designer and photographer Hedi Slimane. Entitled Portrait of a Performer, the book is a photojournal devoted to the provocative performer which is now available via Amazon. This recent shootshoot between both iconic individuals can be seen below.

    Now on topic – the pictures look fabulous! she has this whole Kylie Minogue thing in the 7th one where it’s a close-up of her face and teh veil is at her mouth… Love it. These shots are much more interesting and creative looking than Heidi’s previous book of photography (Which was still good).

    it amazes me what you can do with lighting and airbrushing these days, although most of these pictures have her face covered up! i’ve seen it close up and i can tell you she is not perfect and blemish free, but thats part of her charm, glamourising her in this way does her no justice
