Being the commander in chief of a mega Japanese streetwear brand sure has its perks. A Bathing Ape founder, Nigo, recently got an early jump on Audemars Piguet’s Carbon Royal Oaks Tourbillon Chronograph Concept watch. Retail for the piece runs at a staggering $251,000. Features include: hand-polished beveling, sides hand-drawn with a file, a matte surface, and a sapphire-blasted Carbon main plate. Further details regarding this beautiful timepiece can be found via the BBC Blog.

qui hating and get some taste, renaud and papi at audemars are doing great work and this piece brings some cues they have put into richard mille for some time… this watch is supposed to be a stealth concept tourb not some ghetto bling.. learn your watch game and then give opinions…

I’m not feelin’ this watch. Not the most impressive Audemars Piguet piece, design looks cheap for a the Royal Oak line. Not even the addition of a Tourbillon makes it impressive. Can you say “really expensive Fossil”? I can.

rune rk= forged carbon was developed for the “team alinghi” watch from 2007, google it.. you’ll see. carbon case/bezel but with titanium caseback and ceramic pushers and crown.. ;-)

this watch is well worth its asking price, when they get down to 155/160 you’ll see one on my wrist ;-)

hot watch for sure, too bad they are not trading for double NOR sold out as per his blog.. i held one in my hands last week and the seller only wanted 190k.. great multi day reserve blacked out tourbillon with by far the sickest 30 minute chrono around… i would even consider removing my URWERK to slap one of these on… much nicer than the older alacrite version they released a few years back.. the alacrite version only had 72 hour power reserve and no chrono. the new version is a 6 day power reserve tourb with 30 minute chrono and also has a sick eloxed aluminum base plate (green)

Nevermind if it’s worth the hefty pricetag or not, the thing is just damn ugly.
