With the massive success of America’s present-day leader Barack Obama involved in a recent issue of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man, the presidential theme was too good to pass up for the 2009 President’s Day holiday celebrated on February 16th. A man who has been the focus of many parallels with Obama himself, former president Abraham Lincoln is the latest real-world personality to cross-over into the realm of comics in issue no. 583 of “Gettysburg Distress”. Given the popularity of the print versions of the Barack Obama which subsequently saw the comics change hands through numerous 3rd party sellers, Marvel is offering this upcoming issue for free online (via sign-up) at Marvel.com.
