Kanye West for Louis Vuitton Preview

What can’t the man do? Love him or hate him, Kanye West has an uncanny ability to produce on many mediums. While his upcoming shoe isn’t particularly ground-breaking, it’s still something that we’ve yet to see after the boat shoe renaissance of 2008.

Inside the NIKEiD Boot Room

Nobody really knows the whole behind the scenes of footwear production and this offered a good look into the process. Following the process of design for each player’s boot was also a nice touch as it provided a nice start and finish.

Going Postal by Martha Cooper

Martha Cooper’s relentless pursuit of uncovering and displaying some of the most interesting subcultures is both fascinating and great for the people behind these movements. Without her work of the past, I’m sure the current landscape for the likes of hip-hop and street art would have been much different.

Nissan GT-R SpecV

I could stare at this car for days, and despite the massive price jump which obviously doesn’t yield that much more of a performance increase, There’s something about taking something already sick and doing it up even crazier. The whole SpecV designation also brings me back to the Gran Turismo I days on Playstation with the R34 GT-R.

Maison Martin Margiela 2009 Spring/Summer Accessories Collection

A sick collection all-around based on something as utilitarian as a set of nails.

Inquiringmind – Brooklyn’s Finest: Clark Kent

Kind of funny, I’ve said it a few times… there are different groups of people who know Clark Kent for different reasons. Most are either on the sneaker side or the hip-hop side. I definitely think that his hip-hop side deserves much more shine. All these great interviews he’s put out in the last few months have offered up some interesting insights into somebody who’s lived and breathed hip-hop as well as knowing the industry inside and out. Without hip-hop, sneakers would definitely be on a different level.

Visvim Folk Americana Deck Shoes

I think I’ve found a second favorite shoe amongst Visvim’s line-up. The shoe’s whole profile could not be any better and the Folk outsole is a great piece of design.

Nike Sportswear Limited Edition TV Episode 5: Eric Elms

Host Daichi’s mostly serious demeanor and over-the-top statements make for some hilarious videos. The last few ones have been good with Clark Kent and Busy P but this one takes the cake with Eric Elms.

Probably the cutest cartoon piece of shit you’ll ever see.

Folk 2009 Spring/Summer Collection

A great selection of bold and liberally-colored knits. Folk’s philosophy of providing knits that go beyond the usual in conservative stylings and colors really opens the doors for many options in the colder months.
