Transported from its original days in the 90s, NOWHERE represented an early base of operations and retail point for what would become two of Japan’s most recognizable figures and integral parts of the Ura-Hara movement. Re-opening in London’s Dover Street Market, the NOWHERE space would eventually lead to successful reigns for Jun Takahashi and his brand Undercover as well as Nigo and his label A Bathing Ape.     I went down, was indeed a cool event. Got my book signed and the place was packed.

    Bape is going down the drain for all the fucking posers cos’ they don’t know shit about clothes. Bape will eventually die down and go back to being what it once was. The people who genuinely like the shit they put out will still buy from there, because were not wearing it to act like some dip shit rapper. I was there when they opened the London store back in 2002 and I’ve seen the crowds change over the years, but recently it’s gone back to the peeps who just love the clothes.
