Jeff Koons – Chateau de Versailles Exhibition

Opening up at the Chateau de Versailles in France, American pop artist Jeff Koons continues his international success with a controversial exhibition showcasing some of Koon’s finest works.
“Mingling New York and Versailles, the 21st and the 18th centuries, the baroque and the pop, has presented a practical problem, as well as a political one. It cost more than £1.6m – mostly sponsored by the French billionaire and Koons fan, François Pinault – to transport the gigantic sculptures from all over the globe and install them in the largest royal palace in Europe.”
With a bigger than life approach, most of the works come in large scales with a select few having to be showcased outdoors. Highlighted is an enormous piece made out of mother natures finest including over 90,000 petunias and geraniums planted within the work. Definitely a must see show for those in the area.
