West One “Anti-Graff” Exhibition in Paris
West One co-founded the pioneering Street Wear brand PNB Nation back in the early 1990′s, as well as the And Suns label in Japan. Currently he is behind the scenes at Supreme directing their special projects – including collaborations with Mike Tyson, Kermit the Frog, Bad Brains, etc,. Outside of his history in the Street Wear world, West is a legendary Graffiti artist who has been painting trains and walls since the mid 1980′s. In the past several years West has been a driving force in the movement of Abstraction in Graffiti Art. His latest collection will be premiering in a solo exhibition at the Magda Danysz Gallery in Paris on July 5th. The exhibition features a collection of large scale paintings and drawings that deconstruct lettering forms. A documentary short film exploring the thinking and process of West’s work will also be shown in the gallery’s lower level. If you are in Paris in July don’t miss this monumental show.
