Crazy ass week as much of it was spent in Beijing for the launch of Nike Sportswear. Sleepless nights and tons of work went hand in hand but still a fun time nonetheless. Highlight aside from an incredible looking 2008 Fall collection from Nike Sportswear was bar none an action filled Tuesday night. This weeks picks range from the highly hyped RIM Blackberry 9000 to Season’s continued love of accessories and all-things eyewear.

JasonRIM Blackberry Bold

I’m a dire need of a new phone and this seems to fit the profile. I had intentions of grabbing a Blackberry Curve but after seeing prototypes of the Blackberry 9000 which eventually became the Bold, I decided to hold out cause of the upgraded functions and revamped design. The time and tested Blackberry operating system has been updated along with new GPS and Wifi where a definite needed addition. As well the 2 MP camera should be decent enough when I forget my Canon G9 which for the record is better then Eugene’s Ricoh GX100.

KevinNike Air Max 90 Flywire

With a hands-on preview on the sneakers that was introduced in Beijing this week, I can say that this Nike Air Max Flywire sneaker is one of the lightest Air Max’s I’ve ever picked up. Sure it might not be the most fashionable sneaker around but if you’re looking for something really really really light but fashioned in the Air Max 90 model, then the Air Max 90 Flywire will be your pick.

While in Beijing, a Nike Sportswear footwear designer explained that although many people want the best performing product, why not update one of the most aesthetically pleasing sneaker designs of the last 20 years? Makes perfect sense to me and the updated AM90 Current doesn’t veer too far off its original path while upholding improved performance. Mind you I can see just as many people snatching up the AM90 for casual purposes then performance use.
