Polo Ralph Lauren “Ranger” Boots
by L.A. Ruano, December 26, 2008

Unavailable and out of production for sometime, the Polo Ralph Lauren “Ranger” boots make a triumphant return at the very end of 2008. Usually referred to as the “cookie boot”, the model was made popular for its circle leather patch resembling a cookie shape as well as being rumored as a staple item amongst cocaine dealers, hence the nickname. This time around, the classic silhouette receives a rich tan nubuck upper complimented by loafer-detailing and a buckled strap across the laces, giving the rugged platform an edgy yet sophisticated look. The Ranger’s are now available at select Polo Ralph Lauren retailers including the David Z. flagship store as well as David Z’s newly redesigned website.

Aww man, they still look good, BUT THEY JUST HAAAD to coon it up…
The Patch is cheaply done, as everything is nowadays. Whats with the Polo stamps on the heels? C’mon man, people are supposed to ask,”Those are nice, what are they?” Back in the day we ran thru the black and tan color ways. This is for the kids, who probably wont even cop these unless they’re in Catholic school. This generation not really hip to this look. Like i said, they have the look, but its the corny add ons and cheap shit turning me off. Old Lo heads know whats poppin.
i love these boots but i cant find them in a size 6 but i cant wait until i find them! cause i am goin to get both colors!
Oh yea these boots go hard homie. This might sound crazy but for ya’ll folks that DONT do this…try blousing your pants while you wearin these boots. That way er’rybody can see the whole boot and shit. These go damn hard
Polo boots are a Southern staple. These will be getting copped. HARD.
These boots are some of the most stylish of all time…you can even pull these off with a suit …if done properly ……… now I don’t have to pay 300 .. the price they want on ebay for these….but just
The original Polo boots came in two versions: “Cookie” Boot & Ranger Boot. I can’t remember the style name about of the cookie boot, but it did not have a strap over the instep. The original Ranger Boot did not have a cookie on the ankle. It was added to the Ranger since sales of Ranger were stronger, but everyone (aka the coke dealers) liked the cookie too. Polo did a small revival of the Ranger a few years ago, but it bombed at retail. It’s all about timing.
ohhhhhhhhhhhh,,,i remember these, had them in the early 90’s there still crazy.wow!
*WARNING* do not mix w/ all over prints or fixed gear bikes lol
These are sick. With the right outfit, they would look nice.
