L.A. Gear 2008 Fall/Winter Collection
by L.A. Ruano, December 11, 2008

Following up on their announcement earlier this year, Los Angeles-based indie retailer Sportie LA has teamed up with L.A. Gear to bring back the popular ’90’s footwear label. Utilizing a collection of original models, the kicks were revamped with a new selection of materials and color choices while still retaining a nostalgic fashion quality. Their 2008 fall/winter lineup is now available exclusively through the Sportie LA online store as well as in their flagship locations.

i love those shoes, got 2 pairs, everyone i know got at least one when i was in school. good to see u back la gear.
what a stupid design! the design is too much. the color is too much. if i see somebody in the neighborhood wearing one of these.ur gonna get a straight to the chin!
I don’t know i thought the whole appeal of L.A. Gear was the oldness. Just my opinion, couldn’t wear them but the white black and red joints are definitely mediocre.
Definitely great to see and old head like L.A. Gear making a come back.
I noticed someone mentioned the XJ900 payless shoes. Oddly enough I saw a some vintage xj900 running shoes at the thrift store today. They were all white with a mesh toebox. Seriously, kinda clean. Crazy light and comfy too. Quality was on par with premium releases today which is crazy.
The third ones (white/black/red) are tough.
nostalgia! Totally childhood love!
Bring back the Teal Pumps.
Nostalgic, but don’t think they’ll sell well with the loud colours and chunky high cut design. Sick to look at though. Fuck the recession
i agree with TN87, bring back some light-ups in bigger sizes and im down.
Who designed these Ronnie Fieg?
karl malone
bring back the light-ups. and better color schemes.
WOW…..These shoes screams the late 80’s and early/mid 90’s!…I love the designs, perfect!, I like all the colors especially the black, yello and black, even the green and pink….whatever “just sayin”, Neon will never play out, I hate that this decade favors darker colors more – they get a little boring after awhile. BRING COLOR BACK!
They used to sell these at Mervyns back in the day when I was a kid haha. Like some knock off Reebok. Girls used to rock em with their Esprit sweaters haha. Peace out on those son!
The red and black ones are to dope
I like the concept, but the shoe designs need to be better.
These are a blast from the past i Iwould rock the first ones and the yellow joints are nice they rockable if you know how to crush them
They just won the award for the worst comeback attempt yet. WTF, Who did they hire to do this? No, wrong, don’t ever come again.
I love these! I saw them in the store and had to buy a pair.. they are great quality!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I think there are shoe that should of been kept in the vault.
The 3rd ones look the most O.G.
I suspect this would have been FIYAAH two years ago..
Now RETROneon90’s feels a little played out imo.
I fucc wit the Hightops only. I use to rock them LA Gears heavy. Remember Karl Malone had a shoe deal with them. Don’t front on classics.
PLEASE BRING THE CATAPULTS BACK!!!! as a Retro release Please!!!
lol holy fuck
DAMN! Back from the dead. Anyone here has ever rocked the shoes “XJ900″ From payless? It was the “Poormans Jordans”.
I will slap someone if I see them wearing these.
wildnout.net really. Closest thing to decent are the yellow ones and even thoses are a bit too much. keychain gets a plus though
all of those look like shit aside from the first one pictured
Oh man. The 90s coming back in full effect.
SAY WHAT?!? I remember these joints from way back. Remember the LA catapults? Looks like there keepin it real with their styling too.
haha…I used to rock LA Gears when I was like 6 with the lights…
The second to last joints are alright though…
