Following up on their announcement earlier this year, Los Angeles-based indie retailer Sportie LA has teamed up with L.A. Gear to bring back the popular ’90’s footwear label. Utilizing a collection of original models, the kicks were revamped with a new selection of materials and color choices while still retaining a nostalgic fashion quality. Their 2008 fall/winter lineup is now available exclusively through the Sportie LA online store as well as in their flagship locations.

I don’t know i thought the whole appeal of L.A. Gear was the oldness. Just my opinion, couldn’t wear them but the white black and red joints are definitely mediocre.

I noticed someone mentioned the XJ900 payless shoes. Oddly enough I saw a some vintage xj900 running shoes at the thrift store today. They were all white with a mesh toebox. Seriously, kinda clean. Crazy light and comfy too. Quality was on par with premium releases today which is crazy.

The third ones (white/black/red) are tough.

Nostalgic, but don’t think they’ll sell well with the loud colours and chunky high cut design. Sick to look at though. Fuck the recession

WOW…..These shoes screams the late 80’s and early/mid 90’s!…I love the designs, perfect!, I like all the colors especially the black, yello and black, even the green and pink….whatever “just sayin”, Neon will never play out, I hate that this decade favors darker colors more – they get a little boring after awhile. BRING COLOR BACK!

They just won the award for the worst comeback attempt yet. WTF, Who did they hire to do this? No, wrong, don’t ever come again.
