December 9, 2008Uncategorizedby Chad Jordan38 Views

The culture of Hype has transformed from clothing, sneakers and following blog entries to a full blown lifestyle. This lifestyle encompasses the way that one speaks, walks, dresses, what music one listens to, to how one carries themselves. Until the invention of Hypebeast and Hypetrak people who live this lifestyle where a loose band of taste makers and cool kids. Hypebeast and Hypetrak has brought together purveyors of Cool from all around the planet to form a society that we have anointed the Hype Club. The Hype Club has rules, guidelines and now a soundtrack for its loyal following, a mixtape entitled Hype Club.

Senior members of the Hypeclub, DJ Mick Boogie and producer Judah have tapped long time members Lil Wayne, Wale, U.N.I, GLC, along with junior up and coming members such as Nov Gannon, Milly July, Pat Piff, Dizzy, RatheMC, James Watts and Tyler the Creator amongst others to help explain exactly what it takes to be a Hype Club member and how one should carry themselves. The rallying call of Hype is all set to production provided by Judah, Santo Angelo and others. Chances are if you’re reading this right now you are interested in membership into the Hype Club. The first step is to download the mixtape from the link below and check out the track listing after the jump. Just remember the first rule…you don’t talk about Hype Club.

I agree with azriel, there are alot of artist missing, the music selection was not what I was expecting. and some of the rules are a bit much, it blew me when i heard them, if this is a type of lifestyle that emphasizes the way you walk, talk, and carry yourself it should be an automatic thing we dont want people looking like robots and copies out here or have some good ones start rebellin cuz a rule book. like in every subculture there are people that should not be there but we allowed them to just because they follow the rules. If you in the hypeclub you know you in the hypeclub simple as that and you can spot out who isnt or wants to be and if we accept it and it continues i want my membership revoked. And forreal if we really want to be known as a subculture lets not recreate our own version of the “Fight Club” but keep it simple as The Life?-Style cuz our lives is style am i wrong?

-I’m not going, really no disrespect all props to the creation of the mixtape its just to starting to get real repetitive, we supposed to be the emphasizers of the new and whats wrong with getting old, if you new you just know how to refresh it,
to make it look good it just shows your creativity and your ability to make an old style become new. Go Green its called recycling. Not everybody got money but we still maintain our “Cool“. It’s the repetition we gotta look out for. Everybody can rap its your package that makes you different and lately I’ve been seeing mad rappers with none, just because they look fly does not mean they are. Come on now i been following this lifestyle before it even was apparent it is one let’s not ruin it. This mixtape needs a part 2 or make this a rough draft and come out with the final, make sure its a double disc.

It looks niice but where’s kenna, the cool kids, yeezy, pharrell, lupe, cudi? I may be overreacting but I think they are sum default members of the society..did the neptunes even contribute in production? Hopefully sum of these artists will b on part 2.
